7 arrested in East Texas for online juvenile application | KLBK | KAMC

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas (KETK) – The Texas Department of Public Safety said it arrested seven people for online juvenile application.

Officials detained people from August 31 to September. 3, and this was part of an operation focused on the online application of minors.

DPS special agents worked alongside the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Mount Pleasant Police Department, the Collin County Sheriff’s Office and the office of the federal investigative office in Texarkana to make the arrests.

Six people were admitted to the Titus County Jail for the following crimes:

  1. Adam Fernandez, 26, of Mt. Pleasant: Online application of a minor and possession of marijuana less than 2 oz.
  2. Danny Lopez, 46, of Sherman: Online application from a minor
  3. John Elton Holt, 53, of Talco: Online application from a minor
  4. Brandon Lee McClinton-Elmore, 25, of Sulfur Springs: Online application for a minor
  5. James McElhenny, 45, of Plano: Online application for minor sexual contact
  6. Cody Ray Roberts, 41, of Winnsboro: Online application for minor sexual contact

Rickview Ray Cook, 63, of Longview, was also admitted to the Gregg County Jail for the online application of a minor who was carrying a weapon illegally.

DPS special agents are still investigating the case and will post additional information as it becomes available.
