What is happening: It will probably be the most interesting Border Brawl showdown this year. Summit ranks 8th in the preseason in its MaxPreps ranking and No. 10 in Dave Campbellā€™s Texas Football. Opened in 2002, the school is twenty years old.

Players to watch: Ike Owens or Shaker Reisig will make their first outing as quarterback for the Trojans, and Jaiden Carroll will see his first regular-season action in maroon and white after running 1,537 yards and 21 TDs for two seasons at Booker T. Washington. David Hopkins, Summit QB, surpassed 1,610 yards and 17 TDs last year, and RB Keon Hobbs rushed for 890 yards and eight TDs.
