LUBBOCK, Texas – Hannah Anderson scored two goals and Kirsten Davis he added another when Texas Tech got its fourth straight win with a 3-0 win over UTSA Sunday night at the Walker Soccer Complex.

The Red Raiders (5-0-1) completed a four-game home run with wins over Hartford, Abilene Christian, Cal State Fullerton and UTSA with a 12-1 goal lead and will now hit the road to play Arizona and Arizona State this week in Tucson, Arizona. Tech ended up beating the Roadrunners (4-2-0) with a 7-0 lead on goal.

“I think every game has been a lot of challenges and obstacles,” the Texas Tech coach said Tom Stone dit. “We knew we were coming in that we would play a tough physical team. Being able to handle that and break the pressure sometimes with a variety of attacks was good. I liked the way we adjusted throughout the game.”

Junior of Plano, Anderson scored his first two goals of the season to bring the total of his career to six after having four as a freshman. His first goal gave the Red Raiders a 1-0 lead at 30th minute off an assist of Macy Blackburn and his second made it 3-0 at 71c minute off an assist of Ashleigh Williams. Davis scored his fourth goal of the season between the two from Anderson, giving the Red Raiders their second goal of the night and bringing their career total to 35 with an assist in This is Rose.

Blackburn now leads the Red Raiders with five assists this season, while Williams recorded his first assists in his career. Now Tech has six scorers in 14 goals in total this season, while the defense has only allowed two goals in total.

The defense limited the Roadrunners (4-2-0) to just two total shots and no shots on goal. Porter TTU Madison White won the victory by stopping playing the 90 minutes without facing a shot. The defense was again led by Anderson and Cassie Hiatt who played all the games for the Red Raiders, who have now recorded four stops in six games this season.

Texas Tech will play Arizona at 9pm (CST) on Thursday at the Wildcat Invitational before playing at Arizona State at 1pm (CST) on Sunday in Tucson. The Red Raiders return home after the trip to host three straight games, starting Sept. 19 against East Washington before opening the Big 12 at The Walker vs. Oklahoma (Sept. 23) and Kansas State (Sept. 26).
