One dead, another injured in a Texas county crash KAMR

TEXAS COUNTY, Okla. (KAMR / KCIT) – An Oklahoma man was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Texas County, near Guymon, Tuesday night.

At around 10pm on September 14, according to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety (DPS), a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup truck with four seats and a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck were heading south. on Buffalo Drive, just outside Guymon. The Ford F-150 was described as being driven “recklessly” by DPS and grazed the Silverado.

After the collision, DPS said the Ford F-150 went off the road and went through a game reserve fence, “went into a wide slide, rolled about twice and came to rest. on wheels “. The driver, Justin Tyler Lage, 20, of Texhoma, was expelled.

DPS said Lage was taken to a local hospital “with internal injuries to his neck and torso” and was pronounced dead by medical personnel. Of the three passengers on the Ford F-150, another was taken to hospital with an arm injury. The passenger was reported to be in stable condition.

The other two passengers on the Ford F-150 were reported by DPS to have been unharmed, alongside the driver of the Silverado van.

Although the investigating soldier reported that the drivers ’conditions were“ apparently normal, ”everyone involved, except Lage, was wearing seat belts. The cause of the crash was noted as “unsafe speed” in the DPS report.

The investigation into the crash was led by a state soldier, along with the Texas County Sheriff’s Department, Guymon Police Department, Guymon Fire Department and EMS.
