Robinson named to C-USA preseason team

DALLAS – Volleyball outside of North Texas Rhett Robinson has been named Tuesday to the U.S. All-Preseason Conference team, one of 12 players voted for by the league’s 14 head coaches.

The preseason recognition comes after an outstanding junior season for the Krum, Texas native. Last season, Robinson led Mean Green in kills with 352 and was second on the team by blocks with 76.

In addition to the preseason team, C-USA also announced Tuesday the poll of preseason coaches. North Texas was selected to finish third in the western division of C-USA. Rice was selected to win the Western Division, while Western Kentucky was selected to win the Eastern Division.

Conference USA maintains the divisional format that was introduced for the spring season of 2021. The top four teams in each division will qualify for the C-USA tournament to be held Nov. 19-21 in Norfolk, Virginia.
