Semi truck collides with moving train in Texas, no injuries reported

LULING, Texas (KXAN) – A semi-truck carrying a wind turbine blade collided with a moving train in Luling on Sunday afternoon, according to the Luling Police Department. Police said no injuries were reported.

The truck was nearly two-thirds above the train tracks when it was hit by the train on Magnolia Avenue and Pierce Street that crossed near downtown Luling. There are “out and activated” traffic backups in the area, police said.

A video shared with KXAN shows the train entering picture and sounding the horn before hitting the truck.

Crews are waiting for two vehicles to tow the train after the crash, police said.

Police said the folded arms were not dropped when the driver tried to cross the track.
