Storms, cold front in North Texas forecasts over the weekend


It will be hot for most of the day Friday, before there is a chance of rain in the evening, but there will be a weak cold front in North Texas on Saturday which is expected to bring slightly cooler temperatures and storms during the weekend.


On Friday, temperatures will be in the mid-90s, and the eastern and northern part of the Metroplex could see some rain on Friday night.

A higher-level pattern, the jet stream, is expected to bring a weak cold front to North Texas on Saturday evening. It is not yet known which area of ‚Äč‚ÄčNorth Texas there will be storms, but there will be more clouds and lower temperatures throughout North Texas.


Cooler temperatures will continue until next week, and temperatures are expected to be below 90.
