One of Week 2’s underrated clashes will take place on the blackboard on Saturday afternoon as the Texas A&M Aggies face the Colorado Buffaloes at Empire Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, on Saturday, September 11 at 3 p.m. : 30 ET. The game is scheduled to air on FOX.
The Aggies look like a team capable of surprising the SEC West, but they need more stellar play from Haynes King to the quarterback. Texas A&M got two 100-yard runs with Devon Achane and Isaiah Spiller, but King’s game will be the focus here. Jimbo Fisher has just gotten a big extension with the program, but he has to prove he can keep something competitive in a much tougher conference after he has flared up in the state of Florida.
Colorado played well in a small sample size that was scheduled for the Pac-12 in 2020, but the Buffaloes will surpass the talent on Saturday, so it will be interesting to see how they behave in the first of two consecutive challenges not home conference games. The Buffaloes outscored northern Colorado in Week 1, but went three and out on their first two records and didn’t score until the second quarter. Colorado will need a better start because Texas A&M could jump into it soon.
