The weather cools down enough to make you walk out of a delicious experience (rather than one to survive). Harvest festivities are gearing up and Halloween is just around the corner. But from the harvest season comes one of North Texas ’favorite pastimes: food and wine festivals.

These are our best North Texas food and wine festivals (with a good road trip) this fall.

Gastronomic Festival # 1: McKinney Wine & Music Festival

When: October 16 – 17, 2021
On: 1405 Wilson Creek Parkway, McKinney

Stroll through the vendor market setup in Towne Lake Park with the sound of live music, amazing on your way. The McKinney Wine and Music Festival is once again a two-day event this year. Along with the local vendor market and local musicians, this rain or outdoor showcase event offers delicious food, local shops and a variety of over 100 wines to taste from North Texas, California, Oregon and beyond.

Purchasing a VIP pass allows for more exclusive benefits, such as a handbag, access to wine or special beer tastings, and private entertainment opportunities.

Food and wine festival no. 2: Food & Wine Festival Plan

When: October 9, 2021
On: Legacy West | 5908 Seu Dr, Plano

A food and wine classic in North Texas!

This will be the first year the festival will take place in Legacy West. Attendees will be able to sample 15 different restaurants and 30 different wineries and of course explore the ever-emerging Legacy West. Participating restaurants include Toulouse Café & Bar, Taverna Pizzeria & Risotteria, KAI Restaurant & Lounge, Lombardi Cucina Italiana, True Food Kitchen, The Dock, Prim & Proper and more.

Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite and part of the proceeds will be The Warrior’s Keep to provide outdoor therapy for veterans.

Gastronomic Festival # 3: Annual GrapeFest

When: September 16, 17, 18 and 19, 2021
On: Fredericksburg, TX

This is the largest wine festival in the southwestern United States. Check out wines from Texas, the Barossa Valley of South Australia and the Napa Valley in California at the 35th annual GrapeFest.

Enjoy live music and entertainment on various stages, a carnival halfway through and shoppers ’paradise in select shops, galleries and vendors on Main Street. And don’t miss Wine Choice Wine Tasting Classic, the largest wine competition in the Southwest judged by consumers.

The Celina Craft and Craft Festival is one of the newest in Collin County’s food and wine scene. Have a promising second year!

Food and wine party # 4: Celina Craft and Cork

When: November 14, 2021
Where: in the center of Celina

The second annual Celina Craft & Cork returns. Local craft beer, wine with gourmet cheese pairings, whiskey tasting + cigar room are at the forefront of this year’s tasting.

Come and taste craft beers and wines from local breweries and vineyards. Live music, exclusive food vendors and market vendors to buy will abound. Celina Craft & Cork is free to attend, but beer and wine sampling tickets, food and items can be purchased from the seller.

Beer and wine sampling cards will cost $ 25 per person and are good for twelve, 2 oz beer samples or 1 oz wine samples. Additional tasting cards will be available for $ 10 (6 additional samples).

This mountain country festival is held in the city center on the Marktplatz (100 blocks from West Main Street). This year’s 30th Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest is a celebration of complete Texas food and wine dishes, with music, specialty booths and even a presentation of cooking classes..
