Volleyball No. 1 beats Arizona 3-1

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas No. 1 Volleyball faced a tough test against Arizona, but maintained a 3-1, 25-21, 16-25, 25-22, 25-22 victory Friday at Gregory Gym.

The Longhorns remained undefeated and improved to 6-0 this season.

Asjia O’Neal was a dominant force once again, finishing with nine kills and four blocks while hitting .429. Molly Phillips he also hit high in the game, finishing with eight kills, and hit .353.

Logan Eggleston he led the Longhorns with 13 kills and 11 digs for his fourth double-double of the season. Skylar camps finished with 11 bushes, three blocks and three excavations.

Brionne Butler he headed Texas with five blocks and had four dead. Nalani Josiah he had 13 excavations and four assists in the match.

Jhenna Gabriel he finished with 37 assists and added seven excavations, two killings and a block.

Melanie Parra he was strong from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Texas will play again against Notre Dame on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gregory Gym.
