AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball No. 1 improved to 5-0 with a 3-0 Texas State, 25-18, 25-13, 25-13, Tuesday night at the Gregory Gymnasium.
The Longhorns reached a .458 season high in the game, led by Skylar camps achieving the best .667 of the race in the match. The Longhorns kept Texas State at 0.10 percent throughout the game.
Logan Eggleston led Texas with 15 kills, hit .538 in the game and recorded his third double-double of the season with 12 digs. The camps ended with 14 dead and added two blocks and an excavation.
Asjia O’Neal he again dominated the center, finishing with six blocks and five blocks. Brionne Butler had five dead while Molly Phillips four dead and two blocks were added.
Jhenna Gabriel distributed 25 assists and Naomi Cabell he had a maximum of 12 assists in the race. Nalani Josiah added 10 excavations and Melanie Parra he made eight excavations.
Texas dominated from the service line, finishing with nine asses in the game.
The Longhorns return to the Gregory Gym this weekend and host Arizona on Friday at 7 p.m. and Notre Dame on Sunday at noon.
